Maarit Toivanen-Koivisto has been consecrated as an honorary doctorate in Aalto University 

Aalto University has been consecrated the honorary doctorates on May 19.-21. In degree ceremony has been consecrated as honorary doctorates in scientific, economic or social activity among the deserving persons.

Consecration of an honorary doctorate is the highest distinction of what a university can be indicated. In 2011, Aalto University School has been consecrated as honorary doctorates of its academic institutions proposals for the distinguished persons.

Chair of the Board of Onninen Oy, Maarit Toivanen-Koivisto is one of ten this year's degree ceremony appointed of an honorary doctorate. School of Economics first degree ceremony  in history was held in 1946.
